Well, it seems just yesterday that
we played our last concert here. I have looked forward all year
to this summer, and I know you will enjoy the programs we have
planned. Every time I return to Summit County, it feels more and
more like home, and you, my friends and family, are the reason
why. There is nothing more satisfying than playing for an audience
that you know, and I can't imagine a better place to play than
here in Keystone.
Again this year, I need to thank some people who help make this
festival possible. First, Kikken Miller, who's tireless energy,
and boundless enthusiasm, not to mention her skills in organizing
me, are instrumental to the success of our program. And second,
to Sunni and Alf, who go well above the call of duty, housing not
only me and my family, but many of the other musicians as well.
Nobody makes guests feel more at home than they do. And finally,
to Joan and Bill Houlton, who provide much needed financial support.
Finally, thank you to our audience, without whom these concerts
would not only be impossible, but unnecessary. I hope this summer
not only meets your expectations, but exceeds them.
Sincerely,
Charles Wetherbee
